QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications to becoming an architect is a bachelor's degree. Architects are skilled professionals who are responsible for he design necessary for constructing a building. They must know how to manage construction projects and prepare all the necessary details, including building specifications, code requirements and interior design elements. Every state has their own testing standars that architects must meet in order for them to earn a license. You are required to have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Science and some pursue for Master's degree in Architecture. Not only that but students who dream of pursuing to be an architect must complete an internship under the direction of a licensed architect. This will help them buid experience. After they have completed the internship, they must take the Architecture Registration Examination or the ARE in their home state. It is composed of 7 separate examinations covering all facets of architecture. Once you have passed, you must submit a detailed applciation, with proof of education, and IDP. While some people finish with a Bachelor's Degree, you may still finish with a Master's degree.
ANUAL SALARY
As of the year 2015, the annual salary of an architect is 76,100 USD and an hourly pay of 36.59 USD. As of 2014, there are about 112,600 jobs for this field. Jobs such as civil engineer and drafter are just some that are similar to architecture.
